Groudle Glen Railway’s locomotive Annie is to return to the island after a major overhaul.
The locomotive has been off-island for a number of years and will return with a new livery.
Built in 1998, Annie has been under overhaul and received a new boiler at John Fowler & Sons in Cumbria.
The railway said: “Annie has undertaken final steam tests at a private railway in the UK today and makes a fine sight.
“Our thanks to the Williamson family for their support of the major rebuild and also Jack Dibnah for his superhuman work on her rebuild.”
