A debate is underway to decide whether Peel and Glenfaba MHK Kate Lord Brennan should be censured by Tynwald.
Yesterday (July 22) Tynwald agreed to put up for debate the Standards Committee report that proposes censure of Lord-Brennan for being in breach of the code of conduct.
The row centres on comments made by Lord-Brennan on Facebook over a planning matter and the language used in apparent reference to Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
A war of words then broke out this week over the Standards Committee’s initial handling of complaints stemming from the original war of words, leading to calls for the debate of the committee report to take place before the end of the current sitting.
