The Steam Packet Company is making a number of changes to the published schedule due to low tides at Douglas Harbour.
With arrival and departure times in Douglas coinciding with low water, the company is having to make changes to it’s sailings to avoid lowest water conditions.
Changes will impact Manxman and Ben-my-Chree Sailings from tomorrow (April 9) through to next Tuesday (April 15).
Low Tides
The Department of Infrastructure’s Harbours Division has scheduled plough dredging work to begin next week to address high spots within the harbour.
In addition, Manxman is set to be out of service on April 15 in order to undertake its annual Marine Evacuation System deployment exercise.
Passengers on any sailings affected will be contacted via text or email to inform them of any changes to plans.
Where changes mean passengers are unable to travel on their original bookings, full refunds or amends will be made free of charge.
