A Douglas man has appeared in court charged with rape.
He cannot be named due to the anonymity afforded to people accused of sex offences which was introduced by Tynwald.
It is alleged the rape occurred earlier this year.
The matter cannot be heard before the lower courts so will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery at a later date.
The man was bailed until his next appearance in September.
