Manx Breeder Celebrates Crufts Success

Local breeder and exhibitor Bev Quayle is celebrating an exceptional week at Crufts after her Dalmatian Brisha (CH Cubalibre Wishing Star) claimed Best of Breed.

The win earned Brisha a coveted place in the Best in the Utility Group lineup, where she went on to finish second.

Brisha rose to the top of a highly competitive field, winning the Open class from 35 entries before securing the Bitch CC and ultimately Best of Breed from an impressive 265 Dalmatians.

She then went on to take second place in the Utility Group, competing against all other Best of Breed winners.

Quayle’s second home‑bred Dalmatian, Cubalibre Star Attraction, also impressed, winning the Mid Limit class from an entry of 21 under breed judge Sarah Dandy.

Reflecting on the results, Quayle said she was “overjoyed” and thanked supporters for the “hours of messages” she had received.

She also thanked Rachael Beaumont for her help and company throughout the journey, describing the experience as “what dreams are made of”.

The results mark one of the strongest Crufts showings yet for the Manx breeder, who also congratulated fellow competitors who qualified for what she called a “prestigious show”.
