Dancers from the Manx Trinity Academy of Irish Dance delivered outstanding performances at the World Irish Dance Association World Championships in Liège, Belgium.
The Manx dancers secured multiple podium finishes and personal bests across several age categories.
In the U21 competition, Martha Griffiths achieved an exceptional result, finishing 2nd overall to become Runner‑Up World Champion.
Griffiths also won the Slip Jig and placed 6th in the Heavy Jig, rounding off a remarkable weekend.
She went on to claim the title of Traditional Set World Champion 2026, adding another major accolade to her achievements.

The academy also celebrated success in the U14 category, where Emily Watson earned 2nd place and the title of Runner‑Up World Champion after delivering her strongest performance to date.
Watson placed 1st and 6th in her solo rounds and later secured 3rd place in the U15 Traditional Set competition.
In the U15 group, Clodagh reached a significant milestone by earning her first World Championship recall, finishing 15th overall and achieving a new personal best.
Her solo round results 7th and 10th in the world marked a major step forward in her competitive progress.
Two younger dancers, Lily and Jenny, also impressed at their first international championship appearance.
Competing in Belgium for the first time, they placed 4th and 9th in their solo rounds, earning praise for their confident performances on the global stage.
The academy also congratulated Lily, Jenny, Jasmine and Alexa, who competed at the Grade Feis ahead of the World Championships and delivered strong performances of their own.
The results mark one of the academy’s strongest collective showings at a world‑level competition, highlighting the growing presence of Manx dancers on the international Irish dance circuit.
