Despite the best, blustery efforts of a certain Storm Boelo, there were some fantastic results from the Isle of Man contingent in this yesterday’s Dublin Marathon, with several personal best times set.
Fastest was Lewis Crowe with a cracking time of 2:38:11 (all times recorded in hours: minutes: seconds), taking 3:30 off his previous best set at the 2025 Boston Marathon. Next was Eamon Farrell, whose time of 2:40:28 also made for his fastest marathon, beating his effort from Malaga last year by 3:38.
Fastest female was Steph Woods with a brilliant 3:35:04, besting her previous benchmark from 2012 by an enormous 15 minutes. She was closely followed by Samantha Hall, whose time of 3:35:49 was also a new personal best.
Yesterday (October 25) was a good day for the Hall family as Sam’s dad Martin recorded his best ever time, coming home in 3:25:29.
