Team Isle of Man won 10 medals across four sports on a highly successful day at the Island Games.
The swimmers had great day in the pool with five medals, while Christa Cain won her second gold of the week.
Ewan Moore picked up the first medal of the day in the archery as he won bronze in the compound head to head archery.
On the road Tyler Hannay took third in the individual cycling race with the team of Hannay, Mark Horsthuis, Niall Quiggin, Callum Salisbury and Ivan Sorby also winning bronze in the team standings.
Around the athletics track, Regan Corrin won silver in the long jump while Christa Cain held off a late fightback to win the women’s 5,000m gold.
However, the highlight was in the pool where Harry Robinson won three medals in one night, with Joel Watterson picking up two himself.
Team Isle of Man (Libby Curphey, Laura Kinley, Robinson and Watterson) smashed the mixed 4x50m medley relay.
In the solos, Robinson won silver in both the men’s 100m medley and 50m butterfly while Watterson won silver in the 100m freestyle and bronze in the 50m butterfly.
These medals leave the Manx side fourth in the overall medals table, but we should expect to see some golfing triumph tomorrow with Daryl Callister and Rob Noon leading the way at the top of the scoreboard.
