The Steam Packet‘s flagship, Manxman remains tied up in port this morning due to a technical issue.
Passengers and vehicles were offloaded from the ship just prior to the vessel’s due departure time.

Steam Packet officials said that Engineers are “investigating a technical issue. A further update will be issued shortly”.
The Steam Packet has not provided any more information as to how long the delay is likely to be or whether sailing is likely to go ahead.
One passenger who was offloaded, told Manx.News that he has gone straight to the airport and is flying to England today as they can’t rely on the ship sailing.
Secure Area
Passengers and car drivers have allegedly been told that if they leave the secure area, they will be offloaded from the sailing and will have to be rescheduled for another sailing.
