This afternoon’s Manxman sailing from Heysham to Douglas has been unable to dock due to ‘weather conditions’.

The ship left Heysham late at 4.10pm and is currently off the East coast of the Island waiting for weather conditions to calm.

The Steam Packet say the vessel’s estimated time of arrival in Douglas is now 11pm.

Earlier today passengers on the Douglas to Heysham sailing were told they would not be arriving in to the Lancashire port until 2.30pm due to tidal restrictions.

Rapid deterioration

This evening’s scheduled 8.30pm sailing has been cancelled due to the rapid deterioration in the latest weather forecast.

The 2.15am Tuesday morning sailing has also been cancelled.
