Two former Castletown MHKs are calling a public meeting following the decision made by Castletown Commissioners to permanently pedestrianise Market Square.
Richard Ronan and Tony Brown say they have tried to meet with the local authority to find out why they’re making the decision – they believe there are ‘no justifications’ for the move.
The meeting, which the commissioners have been invited to, is planned for Thursday, November 28 at 7:30pm in Morton Hall.
Mr Brown says issuing a six-month road closure notice for the square instead of going out to consultation for a permanent closure order is ‘unreasonable’.
