The annual Illiam Dhone memorial will be held at Hango Hill later this afternoon.
Considered a martyr my nationalists, Dhone was executed at the spot in Castletown for high treason in 1663.
Having led the Manx rebellion of 1651, during the English Civil War, his execution was ordered by Charles Stanley, 8th Earl of Derby after the family after the island was restored to their ownership.
The ceremony, organised by Mec Vannin, will feature speeches in English and Manx and will begin at 2pm..
This will be followed by the traditional social gathering at the Sidings pub in Castletown afterwards.
