Mezeron Exploring Options

Mezeron says it is facing significant cost pressures on goods collected in the UK, with rates increasing weekly due to market instability.

Managing Director Steve Walton told Manx.News that the company is “currently seeing significant cost increases for goods collected in the UK, with rates rising rapidly on a weekly basis due to ongoing market volatility”.

He said the firm is awaiting updated vessel pricing, adding “our preference is to keep business local wherever possible”.

He said: “That said, we have explored alternatives, and the rates being suggested appear to be somewhat overstated.”

“We will continue to base our decisions on confirmed data, and no decision has yet been made regarding any increase to our fuel surcharge.

“Our priority remains maintaining competitive pricing for our island customers, who are central to our success, while continuing to support the Isle of Man wherever possible.”
