Adam Mealin’s last minute goal secured a Railway Cup spot for Laxey after a 3-2 win over Onchan.
Trailing 0-1 at half-time, Johnny Palmer’s side rallied to secure their place in the hat.
After being denied a goal by keeper Harvey Turner in the opening moments, Andy Asbridge made no mistake on his second chance when he expertly headed home a cross from Jackson Gatt, floating his header back across goal and over Turney into the far corner.
Laxey tried to hit back almost immediately but were denied by Cal Dawson in what was to become a theme of the afternoon as the Onchan keeper made a string of fine saves.
The Glen Road side finally found a way past Dawson in the 76th minute when Cam Avery powered home a header which left Dawson with no chance.
Laxey took the lead moment later when a cross to the back post was headed in by Ben Wosser.
After spending so much time defending, Onchan managed to draw level when Max Shirley’s free kick was missed by everyone and found its way into the far corner to make it 2-2.
With a draw looking inevitable and with Laxey about to miss out on the Railway Cup spots, Mealin popped up to head in a flicked on corner to make it 3-2, breaking both Onchan and Foxdale, who missed out on one of the top four spots, hearts.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Corinthians secured the fourth Railway Cup spot with a 2-2 draw at St Mary’s.
Meanwhile, the big game in Div2 saw Braddan beat Colby 4-7 at Station Fields while Old Boys won 0-3 at Pulrose to maintain their three point lead over the Swans.
