Carriageway repair work between Sulby Bridge and Ginger Hall is now expected to begin later this week or early next week after the schedule was rearranged.
A Department of Infrastructure team had originally been due to start tomorrow, but the works programme has been reordered due to operational demands elsewhere.
The repairs will be carried out under temporary traffic lights, starting at Sulby Bridge and moving north in stages, with the light positions changing as the team progresses.
The department expects the work to run into next week.
