The Steam Packet has made changes to its sailing schedule from today until Sunday due to spring tides.
Due to spring tides the Steam Packet has changed departure times to eleven of its sailings as well as cancelling four.
The rescheduling will affect sailings from this evening until Sunday’s afternoon departure from Heysham.
Sailings Change
The affected sailings are as follows:
Tuesday, February 4:
Douglas to Heysham 7:15pm will now depart at 8:30pm.
Wednesday, February 5:
Heysham to Douglas 1:45am will now depart at 3am.
Douglas to Heysham 8am will now depart at 8:45am.
Heysham – Douglas at 1:45pm will now depart at 2:30pm.
Douglas to Heysham at 8pm will now depart at 7:15pm.
Friday, February 7:
Douglas to Heyshamat 8am will now depart at 11am.
Heysham to Douglas at 1:45pm will now depart at 5:30pm
Douglas to Heysham at 7:15pm has been CANCELLED.
Saturday, February 8:
Heysham to Douglas at 1:45am has been CANCELLED.
Douglas to Heysham at 8am will now depart at 12pm.
Heysham to Douglas at 1:45pm will now depart at 6:30pm.
Douglas to Heysham at 7:15pm has been CANCELLED.
Sunday, February 9:
Heysham to Douglas at 1:45am has been CANCELLED.
Douglas to Heysham at 8am will now depart at 7am.
Heysham to Douglas at 1:45pm will now depart at 1:15pm.
Spring Tides
The Company would like to apologise to all customers affected by these changes, and says it always aim to give users maximum notification of alterations to travel arrangements, to minimise disruption.
It had been hoped that conditions within Heysham Port would improve sufficiently to allow sailings to go ahead as planned.
It added that “Unfortunately, this has not happened and, in order to stay within the Company’s rigorous safety criteria, it has been necessary to make the above amendments and cancellations.
“The Company deeply regrets having to make these alterations”.
Steam Packet’s Reservations Team are in the process of notifying customers and will be available to help make any necessary changes to their bookings via phone or in person.
Customers with online accounts can make changes themselves. All amendments to bookings will be free of charge
