Motorcyclist Transferred to UK Following RTC

Police have confirmed that a 43-year-old local male has been transferred to the UK for treatment following a road traffic collision.

At 8.30pm yesterday (April 30) evening a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision occurred in the area of the Creg-Ny-Baa in Douglas.

The RTC involved a motorcycle being ridden by a local resident, who has subsequently been transferred to the UK for treatment as a result of his injuries.

The road remained closed for several hours whilst investigations were undertaken by specialist collision investigators from the Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit.

As part of these investigations, a number of witnesses to the collision have already been identified and spoken to, however officers are keen to speak to anyone present who witnessed the collision, and who may not as yet have made themselves known to the police.
