Manx star David Mullarkey has delivered another exceptional performance in the United States.
In his first race since recently turning professional, he finished ninth at “The TEN” in San Juan Capistrano, California, clocking 27:26.58.
British Athletics confirmed in a post on X that this makes him the equal seventh fastest Brit of all time over 10,000 metres on the track.

“The TEN” is one of the world’s fastest 10,000m races, with pacemakers, perfect cool evening conditions, and elite fields including Olympians and professionals, all aimed at athletes chasing major championship qualifying times.
Looking at Great Britain’s selection criteria for this year’s European Athletics Championships, this performance could put David firmly in the frame, as well as hopefully to represent the Isle of Man at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
