Manx BirdLife at the Point of Ayre has applied for planning permission to erect a classroom at the nature reserve.
The charity proposes to erect a canvas canopy outdoor classroom.
If approved, it would act as a central support pole for a removable canopy, providing protection for outdoor learning sessions for school and youth groups.
It has also applied for planning permission to erect a composting toilet.
