Airport chiefs say the upgraded airport Costa will be opening for a soft launch tomorrow morning.
CaterLeisure has improved its offering for customers adding new tables and a bigger counter.
The airport said the area is open to all passengers whether they grab a coffee or not, improvements are also being to the rear departure lounge area as part of the scheme to improve the terminal’s rather drab appearance.
An airport spokesperson said: “To start the day, there will be one coffee machine and one fridge available, which will be enough to cover the morning flights. A larger delivery is expected later in the day, bringing the full range of products.
“There are still a few final touches to be completed, but we wanted to open up and increase seating availability as soon as possible for our passengers.
“Meanwhile, contractors will now shift their focus to the new bar area, so works will still be ongoing in the departure lounge.”
