Fresh plans have been submitted to expand an estate in Marown.
The development, accessed through Cherry Tree Drive, follows a previously refused application from 2022.
JM Project Management wants to build 11 new houses in the Crosby Meadows estate, including six four-bedroom homes, five three-bedroom houses and four two-bedroom affordable homes on a separate part of the site.
The application’s cover letter says the current proposal focuses on housing types that were “previously acceptable to the planning committee”.
Affordable
It is proposed to provide affordable housing to a different part of the Crosby Meadows site which is not directly connected to the application site.
The application says: “This is to be in the form of 4 x 2 bedroom houses and a commuted sum that may also be applicable, which is being submitted concurrently with this application.
“In the event that the affordable housing provision is not granted approval an agreement to pay a commuted sum will be entered into with the DOI Housing division under a section 13 agreement.”
The proposal also includes landscaped amenity space backing onto the Heritage Trail.
