Two new changing places toilets have been unveiled at the Sea Terminal and Ronaldsway.
The Department of Infrastructure has installed the purpose-built facilities at both transport hubs, bringing the total number of changing places toilets on the island to five.
Before 2021, there was only one such facility available. Since then, provision has grown through private investment from Tesco, a charitable donation from Noble’s Hospital Charitable Trust and government funding.
Changing Places facilities offer more than standard accessible toilets, featuring height-adjustable changing benches, ceiling hoists and extra space for wheelchair users and carers.
Both locations are currently being registered with the national Changing Places organisation, ensuring they meet recognised standards and best practice.
