Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation has presented the Lieutenant Governor with a new defibrillator for Government House.
Following a phone call for advice about the defibrillator they house at Government House, the charity said it became clear that their machine was dated and could do with an upgrade.
The charity said: “With over 5,000 visitors to the house each year it’s vital that the machine can be relied on should an incident occur.
“This machine will be registered as a private machine, meaning the control room will be aware of its whereabouts if required at any point within the grounds.”
Government House staff will be responsible for the regular checks and upkeep of the machine
