An MHK and parents have criticised the new menu in the island’s schools.
A lack of options for kids with special dietary needs and no ketchup or mayo (very new football manager behaviour) has left parents angry.
The DESC unveiled its new lunch menu for primary schools promoting to be healthier and less processed than ever before.
However, parents have already criticised the menu saying their kids are going home hungry.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge has criticised the menu and the eduction minister for failing to provide for neurodiverse students.
She said: “Was day one of the new primary school menu a bad start – children in our specialist provision centres were not fairly catered for.
“Whilst we all want healthy food options – to change everything for the SPC children wasn’t a wise move.”
Parents have also taken to social media to criticise the quality of the food and the options available to their children with some branding it “unacceptable” and not appetising for children.
