Ørsted has appointed development director for the windfarm planned off the east coast.
This news comes as Ørsted says it has formally submitted the Mooir Vannin planning application for examination.
John Galloway, who was leading the project, has left for a new role at the National Grid in the UK.
His replacement is Jamie Baldwin, who has most recently been the project director for Ørsted’s Hornsea Four development off the Yorkshire coast which has been pulled from its plans.

Mr Baldwin said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm team at such a significant and exciting time. Many thanks to John Galloway for the massive contribution he has made to the development of the project so far.
“Among many achievements, John has assembled a very experienced team who will continue to work towards the goal of delivering the first offshore wind farm in the Isle of Man’s Territorial Seas.”
Mr Galloway added: “It’s been an honour to lead the brilliant Mooir Vannin team here on the Island and in the UK, and to work on a project which has the potential to bring so many benefits to the island.
“I wish Jamie and the whole team every success with the future development of the project.”
The planning application, submitted under the Isle of Man’s Marine Infrastructure Management Act (MIMA), includes options to supply electricity to the UK and Isle of Man.
