The DoI has refused to reveal how much two new vehicles with “bird scaring capabilities” will cost, saying the info is exempt on commercial grounds.
A freedom of information request asked for a breakdown of the price of the vehicles bought for the Airport Fire Service.
In its response, the DoI said” “The base vehicles are Volvo XC40 Recharge which have been purchased from distributors and modifications to the vehicles are in process.
“In relation to cost, the base vehicle figures are absolutely exempt information under Section 26 (more information below) and the modification costs are qualified exempt information under section 30 Economy and commercial interests.”
The cost of registration for each vehicle was £55.
