New Weather Warning Issued

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a new yellow weather warning for the next 24 hours.

It is in place until 12pm on Tuesday and follows the amber warning which was put in place on Sunday.

The warning said: “Some snow melt has occurred in those areas which have seen sunshine, with road surface temperatures recovering for a time, however due to clear skies, road surface temperatures will once again quickly fall below freezing across the island towards dusk, creating difficult driving conditions with any remaining snow cover and slushy deposits freezing with widespread icy stretches forming on untreated surfaces.

“Cloud will develop tonight as the freshening wind turns to the west, with temperatures starting to slowly recover later in the night, generating a thaw, which will become more widespread as temperatures continue to rise through Tuesday morning.”
