Happy New Year one and all! If you’re reading this I assume you didn’t get well and truly trollied last night and do not have your head down the toilet.
This morning will be fairly cloudy with the threat of some outbreaks of rain, but with some drier and brighter spells also possible.
Then cloudy during the afternoon as showery outbreaks of rain develop, turning wintry, particularly over higher ground.
Breezy with a fresh to strong west to northwest wind, which will turn to the north later in the day, as colder air spreads across the island as temperatures gradually fall, bringing the risk of ice overnight into Thursday.
Cold Incoming
A cold start to the day on Thursday with the risk of ice, but otherwise it will be a mostly dry and bright day with sunny intervals, and only isolated wintry showers.
Temperatures only reaching up to 5°C at best in the mainly moderate northerly wind.
