The government has built no new social housing in the last three years of the current administration being in charge.
Department of Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall told Tynwald, that there are number of ‘replacement’ programmes ongoing but no new projects.
Port Erin Commissioners is redeveloping Marashen Crescent Flats, whilst Douglas Council have been given money to invest in 70 void properties.
Minister Crookall said confirmed there is only one scheme, which will be carried out in Ramsey, that will see more social housing built on the island:
