Malew ratepayers will see no increase in their parish rates for the coming financial year, the Commissioners have confirmed.
The rate will remain unchanged at 199 pence in the pound, a decision agreed unanimously following a review of finances.
While a reduction in rates income from local quarrying activity is anticipated, this will be partially balanced by new residential and industrial developments.
Overall rates income is expected to be slightly lower than the current year.
Chairman of Malew Commissioners, John Quaye, said: “The Commissioners are pleased to confirm that rates will again remain unchanged. Together, we remain focused on ensuring Malew continues to be a welcoming and desirable place to live and work.”
Any new capital projects will be funded from existing reserves.
