Noon Duo Take Golf Titles

The Isle of Man 72‑Hole Strokeplay Championship wrapped up on Sunday after four rounds across Comis Mount Murray, Peel, Ramsey and Castletown.

Rob Noon and Emma Noon claimed dominant victories in the men’s and women’s events.

In the women’s field, Emma Noon (Comis at Mount Murray) delivered a remarkably consistent performance, topping every single round to win with a total of 319.

Her scores of 80, 78, 77 and 84 kept her clear of the field throughout the two‑weekend event.

Rob Noon (Castletown) produced four steady rounds to finish on 283, securing the men’s title by seven shots from James Arneil (Ramsey).

His opening‑day 70 set the tone, followed by 71 at Peel, 69 at Ramsey and a composed 73 at Castletown to close out the championship.

Across the championship, standout rounds included:

  • Chris Kneen’s 67 at Peel, the lowest men’s score of the tournament.
  • Nathan Bate’s back‑to‑back 68s at Peel and Ramsey, pushing him into third overall.
  • Neil Caine’s closing 71 at Castletown, the only sub‑par score on the final day.
  • A hole‑in‑one from Hannah Noon at Comis Mount Murray’s 14th.

Net prizes went to Jamie Arneil in the men’s competition (284) and Hannah Noon in the women’s (296).

The four‑course format once again delivered a demanding test of consistency, rewarding players able to adapt to changing conditions and layouts across the island.
