The fastest 50 women in the history of the Northern 10 run are listed below, with each competitor only listed once with their fastest time.
The event was first held in 1983, but for a number of years the number of female competitors was low.
The first time there was a double-figure number of female finishers was in 2006 when there were 12, with a record 27 finishing the 2019 race.
Steve Kelly’s overall course record lasted for 36 years from 1983 to 2019, and by a remarkable coincidence Maureen Oddie’s record time for women of 1:00:19 set in 1987 also lasted for 36 years.
It was Rachael Franklin who eventually beat the record in last year’s race after Sarah Webster went close in 2018.
