The opening round of Northern AC’s winter series took place on a blustery evening in Ramsey this week.
The one lap runners started first, followed shortly afterwards by the 3-lap (5km) runners.
There were 78 competitors in total, 13 in the 1-lap race and 65 in the 3-lapper.
The short race was won by John Robertson, followed by Colin Crooks, Tara Kelly, Craig Walmsley, Daniella Bettridge and Terri Salmon.
Winter Series
Lucas Stennett was the clear winner of the 5km race in a time of 16:41.
Second was Liam Parker in 17:34 followed by Matt Callister in 18:12.
Fourth was Ryan Watterson in 18:34, fifth was Nick Ardern in 19:08 and sixth was Liam McCann in 19:14.
Mai Kakehi was the first woman in a time of 19:53, followed by Ellen Robinson in 22:45 and Saskia Kelly in 23:49.
Well done to Sarah Webster for getting the results done as fast as she runs, helping me to identify all the leading runners.
The next race will be held on November 12 at 7:15 pm.
