One Moment One Crew

Lifeboat stations across the island have joined their counterparts around the British Isles in posing for a team photo.

The charity, which was conceived in Douglas in 1824, asked for stations around the British Isles and Ireland to take a photo of themselves, their crew or their team, at as close to 18:24 on 1.8.24 as possible.

Crews, past and present, at the island’s five stations: Douglas; Port St Mary; Port Erin; Peel; and Ramsey, all posed for photos to mark the occasion.

Lieutenant Governor Sir John and Lady Lorimer attended the Peel lifeboat station for its photo.

Since its founding, the RNLI has saved over 146,000, 1,665 of which were saved by volunteer Manx men and women.
