Users of the Manx National Heritage online newspaper archive will continue to have access to the service after a temporary solution was put in place.
The archive had been due to go offline from October 12 while work continued to find a replacement platform.
However, Manx National Heritage says it has now established a short-term fix, allowing people to continue searching and viewing archived newspapers while plans for a secure, long-term service are developed.
The organisation says public interest in the archive has been “extraordinary”, with researchers, family historians and supporters both on and off the Island highlighting the importance of the resource.
Manx National Heritage has thanked users for their support, assistance and patience as efforts continue to secure the archive’s future.
