While there is FA Cup action this weekend, the battle to avoid the Premier League trap door is where our attention turns.
Onchan host St Georges in a cliche ridden relegation six pointer where they both know one of them will join Marown in going down.
The O’s are currently one place and one point clear of the bottom two and could move clear of their near rivals this weekend.
However, Geordies have a game in hand over Onchan and a win for them would set them up for a second successive great escape.
The sides meet at 2:30pm at the Nivison Stadium.
The other league games in the top flight sees Marown host Corinthians and St John’s hosting Peel.
Cup
The FA Cup reaches the quarterfinal stage this weekend with seven top flight sides and one Division Two team still in the competition.
Ayre welcome Laxey in what will be a very interesting tie, while holders Rushen host Ramsey and St Mary’s head to Union Mills.
If there is to be a ‘cupset’ it will be at Foxdale as they welcome Division Two side Colby to Billy Goat Park.
All those games kick off at 1:45pm.
Division Two
There are four games in the second division this weekend as Braddan look to close out their title charge when they head to Pulrose.
With no league games for RYCOB, Old Boys or Colby, Castletown can go third if they beat Douglas Royal.
The other games see D&D host Michael and Malew head to Governor’s Athletic.
