A long-serving tramway employee has been honoured for fifty years of service.
Peter Cannon, who began his role in 1975, was presented with an award by Douglas City Council to mark the milestone.
Peter had worked for the Council for forty years before the Horse Tramway transferred to Isle of Man Railways in 2016.
The Railways said that he continues his work today, describing his contribution as a “fantastic achievement.”
It added that the team looks forward to Peter being part of the tramway’s 150th-anniversary celebrations next year.
