A planning application has been submitted for a new takeaway in the Reayrt Mie estate in Ballasalla.
Dandara, acting for the proposed operator, seeks permission to use Unit 1 in the neighbourhood centre for a pizza business.
The application states the outlet would open from 11am to 11.30pm daily, employing 10-12 staff.
Most orders would be delivered, with the supporting letter noting “the majority of business will be conducted after 6pm”.
Minor external works for air vents and compressors are proposed and the application says a neighbourhood centre “is an appropriate location for a hot food take-away outlet”, citing existing examples elsewhere on the island.
