The Isle of Man Cricket Association has submitted plans for a state-of-the-art cricket centre at the former Panelcraft building on Carrs Lane, Tromode.
The proposed facility aims to provide year-round training and playing opportunities for cricketers of all ages and abilities, while also serving as the new headquarters for the IOMCA.
Plans include four dedicated cricket lanes, coaching spaces, and development programmes in a venue fully equipped for the sport.
Mike Haywood, Chairman of the IOMCA, said: “This marks a major milestone for the Isle of Man Cricket Association.
“Having a dedicated home for cricket allows us to strengthen our operations, enhance the delivery of our programmes, and provide a central hub for the sport on the island.
“It reflects our long-term commitment to growing the game and supporting everyone involved, from grassroots to elite level.”
Cricket Development Officer Greig Wright added: “Having a purpose-built indoor centre will transform how we can deliver coaching and development.
“It means we can train all year round, run specialist sessions, and create a real hub for cricketing excellence. It will also open up more opportunities for schools, clubs, and the wider community to get involved.”
