This summer, Manx BirdLife will be opening the Manx BirdLife Point of Ayre National Reserve to the public for the first time.
Before that happens, Manx BirdLife is inviting the public for a ‘sneak peak’
The reserve will be open today (June 12) and Sunday (June 16) from 1pm until 5pm.

At 2pm each day there will be a guided tour of the reserve, led by Manx BirdLife staff.
This will a great opportunity to see and hear about all the work that the Reserve Manager, David, and his team of volunteers have done over the past few years to get to this point as well as the fantastic display of bee orchids.
With limited spaces available, advance booking is required for the guided tour.
If you would like to attend one of the guided tours, email pointofayre@manxbirdlife.im stating your name, which day you would like to attend and how many people will be attending.
You don’t need to book to visit the reserve, only if you would like to join the guided tour.
Rules of the reserve
• Visiting the Reserve involves a relaxed, gentle stroll of about two to three hours’ duration. The terrain is reasonably flat with just a couple of short inclines. Paths are uneven with a few minor trip hazards of which to be aware. There are no fences or styles to climb over.
• Please bring suitable footwear and clothing, cameras, binoculars and other birdwatching optics.
• Children under the age of sixteen should be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult guardian at all times.
• Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the reserve.
