With largely clear skies tonight and the north-westerly wind falling light, road surface temperatures are expected to fall close to or slightly below freezing.
This will give a risk of frost or icy patches forming on untreated surfaces, particularly where roads remain damp or wet from any previous showers or run-off/seepage.
It will also impact areas not exposed to the light north-westerly backing westerly breeze.
The yellow warning for frost and icy patches is in place from 6pm this evening until 9am on Friday.
