Driver and vehicle transactions currently handled at Isle of Man Post Office counters will come to an end on March 31.
The Government is shifting these services to an expanded online system.
The change forms part of a wider modernisation programme by the Department of Infrastructure, which aims to move more services to services.gov.im and reduce the need for residents to travel or queue.
Moving Online
From the same date, new online options will include change of vehicle ownership, individual vehicle registration and changes to registration marks, joining a growing list of digital services introduced over the past year.
Residents will still be able to complete all transactions in person at the Vehicle Test Centre, with some processes remaining counter‑only until August 2026.
A new Get Online Centre at the Sea Terminal will also open by the end of March to support people who need help using the digital system. Paper forms will continue to be available for those who prefer to apply by post.
The Government says the transition away from Post Office counters is expected to deliver annual savings of around £675,000, helping fund further improvements as all driver and vehicle services move online by August.
