Manx Utilities is asking people to stay away from Peel Power Station after damage to one of its chimney stacks.
The west of the island has been hit particularly hard by the wind today, with trees and other damage reported.
The MUA said: “We are aware of damage to part of the stack at Peel Power Station.
“Near neighbours have been advised, however, please keep clear of the area. Thank you.”
Manx Utilities is also working to restore power to parts of the island but asked residents to be patient as some areas its staff are working in are very dangerous due to the high winds.
