Parking is to be permitted on Douglas Promenade during the bus drivers’ strikes.
The DoI has unveiled plans for the Manx Electric Railway and limited bus services during the strike.
As part of plans, the DoI is also opening up the Loch Prom for parking.
It said: “Weather permitting, additional parking on the Douglas Promenade Walkway, similar to parking at Christmas, will be introduced from Saturday morning.”
While the MER has reopened, ongoing work at Douglas Station means the steam railway cannot be used like it was in previous strikes.
The department added: “Bus Vannin drivers are hugely valued and provide a critical service to the island carrying more than million passengers each year and the Department of Infrastructure is keen to continue to work to discuss potential solutions to the ongoing dispute.”
