‘Reduced but Regular’ Service Planned

Lord Street Bus Stands in central Douglas

Bus Vannin has issued its strike timetable that will come into force tomorrow morning, with an hourly service on key routes.

With Unite members due to walk out, it is still uncertain how many drivers will be available.

There will be a hospital service operated by the 21H serving Pulrose, Farmhill, Nobles Hospital and Anaghcoar which will start at Lord Street.

Bus Vannin said: “During industrial action, buses will operate a reduced but regular service, depending on the day of the week.”

The timetable comes with the warning that they may “change at short notice” while “some journeys may terminate early during disruption”.

While buses will serve the airport, the first bus south on the timetable would not make the early morning flights, if passengers choose to use buses during the strikes.
