Isle of Man Constabulary have reopened Central Promenade to vehicular traffic following a serious incident last night.
A short section of pavement in the vicinity of the Palace Hotel remains closed to pedestrians.
Businesses will be unaffected and open as usual.
Prom incident
The road closure was in place overnight outside The Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino on the Promenade in Douglas whilst the constabulary dealt with a serious incident.
Isle of Man Constabulary would also kindly ask the public not to speculate at this time.
Manx.News believe an update is expected later today.
