PSC Makes Fresh Pay Offer

Isle of Man Government Office, Douglas

The Commission has made a fresh pay offer to staff that includes a £200 lump sum for full time staff and extra holiday days for some.

It has put the offer to unions Unite and Prospect.

Included in the offer is a 4% pay rise for the 2024/25 year, backdated to April 1 2024, with a 2.5% offer for 2025/26, which was previously rejected by members.

The one-time unconsolidated lump sum payment of £200 for full-time employees would be pro-rated for part-time employees based on their hours worked at the date of the award.

Fresh Offer

The offer also says that from April 1 2025, the annual leave entitlement for all PSC staff with 10 years of service will be harmonised.

Staff who have accrued 10 years of service at this date will see their annual leave increase from 28 days to 30 days per year.

Other staff would receive this increase upon reaching 10 years of service, in line with existing provisions.

The PSC said: “We understand that the ongoing negotiations and the delay in finalising the pay award is frustrating, but we appreciate your patience and continued dedication during this time.

“The Commission is committed to reaching a fair and timely resolution that acknowledges your hard work and contributions.

“Prospect and Unite have been advised of the PSC’s revised offer and the PSC would like Unions to progress to ballot. We hope this offer will be considered positively.”
