Money raised at a Ramsey pub, from selling a large quantity of mugs dropped off by “a kind fellow” during the Manx Grand Prix, has been donated to the Queen’s Pier Restoration Trust.
Pubgoers at the Trafalgar raised a total of £200.
Landlady Steph Tiesteel said that the decision was a no brainer: “I had promised the trust that our next fundraiser would be for them.
“It was a perfect opportunity for a quick fundraiser – they all sold in one day!”
In a post on Facebook, the trust thanked the Trafalgar and praised the “support from the community for the pier”.
“The chairman, trustees and all volunteers would like to thank the Trafalgar Hotel for their most generous support.”
