Public Meeting to be Held on Amenity Site Changes

The Northern Parishes Civic Amenity Site Committee are holding a public meeting to discuss the changes that have been made to the site following the withdrawal of Bride Commissioners.

The meeting will take place at Ramsey Grammar School West Hall on July 11 at 7pm.

Changes at Balladoole

The Northern Civic Amenity Site Joint Committee says it is with ‘the deepest regret’ that it has reduced the number of operational days that the site is open.

The committee decided that the site will now be open for five days instead of seven.

Following the withdrawal of Bride from the Site earlier this year, the Committee says it has had to make some ‘very hard decisions’ on the level of service that they are now able to deliver going forward.

Operational days

This operational change came into effect on Monday (July 1).

The new hours for the site are:

  • Monday: CLOSED
  • Tuesday: 8am-11:45am – 12:30pm to 4:15pm;
  • Wednesday: 8am-11:45am – 12:30pm to 4:15pm;
  • Thursday: 8am-11:45am – 12:30pm to 4:15pm;
  • Friday: 8am-11:45am – 12:30pm to 3:45pm;
  • Saturday: 8am to 4:15pm with no lunch time closure;
  • Sunday: CLOSED;
  • Bank Holiday: The site opens an hour later at 9am.

There will be no reduction or restriction in the availability of the re-use area, and it will remain open as normal at this time.
