Members of the Manx public are supporting a valued vet on the island following the news that he is to be out of work.
Earlier this week it was announced that Milan were to end its farm services, meaning the well known and respected Matie Viljoen would no longer be working for Milan.
Matie, a trusted face in the farming and equine communities, has worked on the island for over 20 years.
Support For Vet
Following the news of his departure from Milan, former clients of Matie’s have been urging the public to support him in the coming months.
Matie, who splits his time between the island and South Africa, has a wine business back in South Africa.
As a mark of respect to Matie and all he has done for animals on the island, Hayley Garrett has made a plea to the public to support him.
Hayley said: “I’ll be placing an order later to show Matie that he has my support. I urge you to do the same.
“We may only be a small island community generating tiny profits to such a giant corporate group but let’s show them that we will always come together to back our own.”
